There's actually a contest to see who can build a catapault that'll chuck a fruitcake the furthest...
... Then they take the thrown fruitcake and put it away for next year. :3

Never had it and we never make it... our tradition is Nuts&Bolts (it's like a chex mix thing). Fudge, and ... whatelse... fudge oatmeal cookies (which is basically fudge w/ oatmeal and you make it solidify in small clumps therefore making cookies) and.... there's something else and I can't remember..... grrr.....
