"Patience is a virtue," Stephanie mumbled to herself quietly. She had been waiting for the longest time to actually meet the members of Tales RPG. Now, she finally had the chance. Earlier in the month, the teen had sent invitations out, asking each member to come celebrate Christmas in Alaska with her. But what was taking so long? Someone should have found the cottage by now. The trek up the slope wasn't that hard.
Stephanie flopped onto the couch waiting for someone to pop up. "Patience is a virtue," she said again. "One that I obviously don't have."

At that moment, Stephanie snaps. Was that knocking? She shakes her head. Or are my ears playing tricks on me? The girl decides to check the door, anyway, as not to leave anyone out in the cold. Scampering off the sofa, she races towards the front door, fiddling with the lock. Finally, after what seemed like ages, she managed to get the lock undone. Stephanie opens the door quickly. Upon seeing Nate, she tilts her head to the side. "Nate?" she asked, remembering the pictures of the Tales members.

Shakes for a moment, then nods his head. "Yup." He says still really cold even though a blast of warmth from inside the cabin had hit him.

"Ahh..." Stephanie steps aside to let him in. "Come in, you must be frozen. Sorry about that whole 'climb up the steep hill' shebang. But look at it this way; you made it! And in one piece too." She rushed to the coffee table, pouring some thick hot cocoa into a mug. "Here." Stephanie handed the cup the Nate. "This will warm you up."

"That you, Ari?" Mike said, trying to peer over Nate. "Alo...! Whoa." Mike blinked a couple times, staring at Ari. "So I guess a picture's out of the question now, eh?" He pantomined a sweatdrop ((yes, I actually do that.))

Nate gulps down the whole mug of hot chocolate, not considering for a second that he won't be able to feel his toung for hours after that.
"Uh, someone else is out there too."

"Aleu?" Stephanie asked, as she cocked her head to the side. "Is that you?" She opened her arms in an embrace.

"Aleu. Heh. It feel nice being called that." Mike returned the hug, pushing gently on Stephanie, trying to push her back inside. "It's cold out," he explained, shutting the door behind them.

"Well, what'd you expect?" Stephanie asked, filling a mug of hot cocoa for Mike. "It's Alaska, after all. I thought you wanted to come here."

"It's colder then I thought it would be. Those huskies make it look so easy living here." Nate says, taking off a backpack, which was obviously filled with junk he had brought.

Stephanie shrugged. "Well, come on in! Let's not dwell on the front porch. We can wait for the others, where it's nice and warm."

Mike nodded and sipped the hot cocoa, sputtered, and hacked violenty. "That's... hot." He managed to say, setting down the cocoa and turning around to cough. "Wow."

Stephanie laughed. "Well, I thought that since Alaska was a bajillion times colder than winter in Arizona, the hot cocoa ought to be quite a few times hotter, no?" She looked at Mike and Nate's faces, chuckling nervously. "Guess not."

Mike mimicked sweatdropping again. "So... How've you been?"

Stephanie ceased her nervous laughter, as she looked at Mike. "How've I been? Just peachy. As always. Although Alaska's been pretty cool. I've gotten some exploring done." She nodded her head at the Christmas tree in the corner. "When everyone gets here, we can decorate the tree and later, we can go shopping in the Outskirts."
