"Hey there little snow man, what do you know?" Mo said, singing to himself. There was truth in his sing-songy voice; The soon to be snowman was very small. In fact, by this time, it was only a snow ball. But thats what there was to be expected, considering he had started the better half of thirty seconds ago. Quickly, Mo set the ball on the top of the fresh snow, and did what he was taught to do in is fine snowman making skills; roll the ball of snow.
After about 45 minutes of pushing, shoving, and starting over (due to.... large scale fractures..... and severe bleeding of his snowman), Mo had the first sphere shaped... section of the soon-to-be snowman. The feet of the man if you will.
But, lo, the first ball is always the easiest, so without more that 5 minutes to admire his work, Mo-man set off creating the second ball of snow, and third ball of snow. Packing the snow, rolling the snow, smoothing the snow, licking the snow, lifting the snow; all were part of the process to create this masterpiece.
To save you precious minutes of you time, i will skip ahead, to when Mo had finished securing the "head" onto the rest of the snowman. And what a snowman it was! Three oddly shaped spherical snow figures arranged on top off one other with the largest of the bottom and the tallest of the top. It truly was a work of art, but Mo, being an over-achiever, could not stop there. No, he had much more to do.
But now, Mo had a brain teaser to deal with - he wanted to add arms, eyes, mouth, and nose, but what could he use? One answer came in the form of a pencil. The answer: Pencils. For the arms, to be exact. Mo, geniusly, stuck the pencils where the arms could be. The next answer he came up with; Carrots. Yes, your right, carrots, for the eyes. He just took those carrots, and shoved 'em right in the snow-head. Now, the figure was starting to take the form of a snowman. But he couldn't stop yet, no matter how much they begged him. No, he needed nose and a mouth. So he dug deep into the snow, deep, deep, deep..... and he found some ice sheets. Eureka! he thought. Yes, you got it right again! He smashed the ice into tiny pieces and used them for the mouth. But the nose, the nose was tricky.... so he just stuck his finger in and made an indent. An, in-nose, if you would call it that.
And that is how the amazing masterpiece was created. On the spur of the moment, Mo sang,
"Lumpy, the snowman, was very full of lumps
he was mad of stuff, and he wasn't buff, but he'll never catch the mumps!
Lumpy, the snowman, never had lice,
with two carrot eyes and some pencil arms, and a mouth made out of ice!
Lumpy, the snowman........ rocks!"
