When I came here a few minutes ago, my computor started playing the sounds of commercials. Is this normal? or am I going insane?

Yes I'm sure. After the commercials, it went to a talk show type thing, and then after hearing some guy talk about wireless networks for about 5 minutes, the speakers made the "mic is too close to speakers" sound and then the talk show died.
